Maternal & Child Health

Program Description

Public Health Staff are available to assist families, free of charge, to promote optimal health of families and each of its members.

Examples of services include:

  • Providing education and guidance to pregnant and post-partum women/families
  • Assisting families who have a child with special health care needs
  • Performing developmental screenings on children
  • Helping women to quit tobacco and alcohol during pregnancy
  • Answering questions and linking families to resources and services within the community
